Rules for use of Springbrook shared Kayaks, Paddleboards and Lily Pad

1. Commencing April 1, 2021, the Springbrook owned, shared kayaks/paddleboards available for borrowing for day use will be stored in Racks A-1 through A-6.
2. Use of Springbrook owned, shared kayaks/paddleboards and lily pad is limited to easement members and family members living in the household.
3. Guest use of these kayak/paddleboards and the lily pad is permitted only when accompanied at all times by a member.
4. The minimum age for use of the Springbrook owned, shared kayaks/paddleboards is 16 years old, unless the user is accompanied at all times during use by an adult member of the easement. Users under 16 may use the lily pad provided they are supervised by an adult member throughout their use.
5. The shared kayaks/paddleboards, and the shared “lily pad”, may be used only between sunrise and sunset. No nighttime use is permitted by anyone at any time.
6. Whenever use of the kayaks/paddleboards involves crossing the lake or operation outside the buoy lines, orange safety vests must be worn.
7. Users of the Springbrook owned, shared kayaks/paddleboards must provide their own life jacket. Life jackets must be with users on the watercraft at all times during use, and should be worn. Children under 12 years of age MUST wear life jackets at all times.
8. There is a four (4) hour limit for use of the kayaks/paddleboards, after which each borrowed kayak/paddleboard shall be returned to the rack in the “A” rack area, so that other members may use them.
9. Each user of a shared kayak/paddleboard or the, must, on completion of their use, return the shared watercraft to a stall in rack area “A”. Each user of the lily pad is responsible for returning the pad to the easement land area following use.
10. All users of shared watercraft are required to “sign out” the watercraft taken, listing their name(s), watercraft number, checkout time, and when they return, their return time. A sign in/out sheet will be posted adjacent to the rest room entrance. A separate sign in sheet will be placed in the same area for lily pad use.
11. Operation of Springbrook owned, shared kayaks/paddleboards, and/or the lily pad, is solely at the operator’s own risk. Springbrook Easement accepts no liability or responsibility for any incidents, accidents, or injuries that may occur during the use of these watercraft.
12. Violation of any of the rules above, or any Lake Corp rules may result in the forfeiture of the participating member’s (and/or their family member’s or guest’s) right to future use of the shared kayaks/paddleboards or the lily pad.
